Seascape By Edward Albee • Saturday, November 20, 1999 8PM
First, you'll take in a performance of Edward Albee's Seascape. This imaginative comedy presents a pair of vacationing empty nesters who bicker about their future until giant amphibious creatures arrive to challenge their most basic ideas about life, love, and family. Sound familiar?
After the show, it's off to Code Blue at 1946 St. Clair in Cleveland. Enjoy complimentary beer or wine, a little something to eat and maybe even a dance or two. After that, it's up to you!
The Emancipation of Valet du Chambre
A World premiere by Murphy Guyer • Based on Pudd'nhead Wilson by Mark Twain Sunday, April 30, 2000 12 Noon
We'll kick off Spring with a simply fabulous brunch at The Cleveland Play House Club, located right in our complex. There's no doubt about it, the Bloody Mary's will flow.
Then, we'll enjoy a 2 PM matinee performance of The Emancipation of Valet du Chambre. Mark Twain's fascinating pre-Civil War tale of two babies switched at birth one diverted into slavery, the other into a position of wealth and power juggles issues of personal identity and race. Like the best of Twain, it is chock full of sometimes-hilarious, sometimes-chilling observations.
Enjoy both events for only $60 per person...includes tickets for both shows and parties!
